San Diego Police Officer, 2 Suspects Injured in High-Speed Chase

A San Diego police officer was among three people injured during a high-speed chase that ended at the bottom of a ravine early Monday.
The incident happened at around 1 a.m. when an officer tried to pull over a vehicle for a minor traffic violation, KFMB-TV reports. When the driver refused to stop, a high-speed pursuit ensued.
The chase hit speeds of nearly 100 mph along the 805 Freeway before the fleeing vehicle and the police cruiser were unable to navigate a tight corner. The chase ended with both vehicles at the bottom of a ravine along State Road 94.
The police officer only suffered minor injuries in the crash. Two men were inside the other vehicle, and they suffered serious injuries.
The chase and the crash are under investigation.
